The Corridor’s 18 million acres are so critical to the Sunshine State’s ecology, economy, and very existence, that Live Wildly was born to help protect it. And that’s where you come in — with your help, we can protect and connect irreplaceable corridors and the lands we’ve been blessed with - in Florida and around the world - so everyone can live wildly for generations to come.

Today is #ManateeAppreciationDay! The cows of the sea, these lovely, slow-moving mammals have captured the hearts of Floridians for years. Rumor has it that manatees were the original inspiration for mermaids! It’s only fitting that their day of appreciation falls on #InternationalMermaidDay.

Did you know many manatees call part of the #FloridaWildlifeCorridor home? More than half Florida’s springs and around 62% of rivers lay within the Corridor. Springs provide a healthy habitat for manatees and rivers create natural passages for them to travel safely. We're interrupting the #MarchWildness voting for a very important celebration - #WorldWaterDay! Florida is famous for its water - from the ocean to the Everglades. It's all around us and we depend on it. The Live Wildly Foundation worked with @archboldstation to commission a first-of-its-kind study by The University of Florida Water Institute on the overlap of Florida's water resources with the #FloridaWildlifeCorridor geography.
