This event is hosted by our partner Conservation Florida

Join Conservation Florida for an exciting afternoon of conservation photography and hiking! This guided hike, led by our professional conservation photography teammates Adam Strang Bass, Vice President of Conservation, and Tessa Skiles, Programs Coordinator, will take you through the natural surroundings of our 476-acre D Ranch Preserve in Osteen, FL.
You’ll have the chance to explore the mesic and scrubby flatwoods, wet prairie, and wetlands at the preserve, while gaining insight into the importance of storytelling through the lens of photography. During this interactive experience, you’ll also have the chance to learn how to turn your photos into art that effects positive change in environmental conservation and wildlife habitat protection, about various photography techniques (including lighting, composition, and camera settings), as well as tips on capturing photographs of local flora and fauna.
You will have the opportunity to put your newfound photography knowledge into practice and receive feedback from Adam and Tessa!
Not only might you encounter gophers, white-tailed deer, sandhill cranes, and maybe even some scrub jays – but also expect to learn about native plants, habitat restoration, prescribed burns, land conservation, and a bit about our work here at Conservation Florida!
This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts and aspiring photographers looking for a unique and educational experience. Come join us for an unforgettable day of photography and conservation!
