Live Wildly Adventurist @GeorgeMcKenzieJr is bringing his journey to the big screen.

From Brooklyn’s concrete jungle to the wild heart of Florida, George McKenzie Jr. has traded the weight of a gun for the power of a camera. This Black wildlife photographer captures everything from city pigeons to elusive panthers—while inspiring kids of color to see themselves in conservation.

Experience George’s journey, along with two other short documentaries from @floridawildlifecorridor and @wildpath, for an evening of storytelling that celebrates Florida’s wild spaces and the people protecting them.

Paddling 40 miles through the Okefenokee, we spotted some funky, alien-like tubes shooting up from the peaty soil. Turns out, these plants are pros at catching attention—and bugs!

Meet the Hooded Pitcher Plant—a carnivorous wonder of the Southeast! Its hooded, tube-shaped leaves lure in unsuspecting insects (and occasionally frogs or small snakes!) with sweet nectar—then trap and digest them with no way out.

The secret to a great paddling trip? A solid plan - and now is the perfect time to get the ball rolling.

Last fall, Live Wildly took on the epic Okefenokee Swamp—a natural wonder so stunning it’s up for UNESCO World Heritage status. 🚣‍♀️🌿

With @okefenokeeadventures’ guide Dan Jones leading the way, Sara, George, Lauren, and Aaron paddled 40 unforgettable miles across this breathtaking swamp. From the Northeast corner to the Southwest, this trip was nothing short of wild.
