Live Wildly is teaming up with Florida Springs Institute (FSI) to support Springs Watch, a vital citizen-science program dedicated to monitoring and protecting Florida’s freshwater springs.
Why does this matter? Florida’s springs are not just breathtaking natural wonders—they are lifelines for our ecosystems, sources of drinking water, and vital habitats for countless species. But they’re also under threat from pollution, overuse, and environmental changes.
Springs Watch empowers everyday people to become stewards of these fragile ecosystems, collecting critical data on water quality, wildlife, and overall spring health. By partnering with FSI, Live Wildly is helping amplify this effort—celebrating the volunteers who make it happen and encouraging more people to get involved.
This partnership is about more than science—it’s about community, conservation, and taking action to keep Florida’s springs wild and thriving for generations to come. 💙💦 #LiveWildlyFL #SpringsWatch

Happy birthday, Florida! 💚🎉 Before Florida had a name, it was defined by its wild beauty. While 180 years of statehood marks an important milestone, it’s just a brief chapter in a story that stretches back 530 million years. The Florida plateau, the foundation upon which Florida sits, was formed during the early Ordovician Period through volcanic activity and marine sedimentation. Generations of people once lived in harmony with this land long before it became the state we know today. Here’s to 180 years—and the 530 million years of history that came before!

Nature is for EVERYONE. 💙
Thanks to a $100,000 grant, Florida’s state parks are now more accessible than ever! 🙌 Through a partnership with Florida State Parks Foundation and Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation, seven coastal state parks—including Amelia Island, Anastasia, and Lovers Key—now have accessible beach matting. 🌊♿
This means more people using mobility devices can experience the freedom and beauty of Florida’s world-class beaches.
We’re proud to celebrate every step toward a more inclusive outdoors. There’s always room to grow, but today, we take a moment to appreciate this amazing progress. 🌴✨
A special thank you to Donna Dickens for sharing her thoughts on what accessibility in nature means to her. 💛
