Anthony Sleiman is a Venezuelan-born, Miami-based photographer, filmmaker, and speaker. It took one night under the dark skies of the Everglades for him to decide darkness was something to be curious about, and he’s been going back ever since.

Where It Started:

He first went to the Everglades with a camera. He kept returning because every visit showed him something new: the wildlife, the seasons, the night sky, and the people who spend their lives studying and protecting it. Over the years, photography turned into a lasting relationship with one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on Earth.

Known For:

Anthony’s work centers on Florida’s dark skies and the growing threat of light pollution. Through photography, film, and public speaking, he helps people see the night as a landscape worth protecting. Live Wildly readers may know him from his guides to stargazing and exploring the night sky in wild Florida.

What He Brings to Wild Florida:

A sense of wonder and a habit of asking questions. Anthony believes the more people experience these places for themselves, the more they’ll fight to keep them. As a new girl dad, he’s also gearing up for his daughter’s first adventures and the chance to see wild Florida again through her eyes.
