Misty Wells
Misty Wells grew up on the Gulf Coast of Clearwater, and Florida’s outdoors shaped everything that came after. Today she’s one of the most recognized outdoor media personalities in the country — producer, host, writer, and conservationist all at once.
On Your Screen:
Misty produces and hosts Let’s Take It Outside, now airing to over 220 million viewers across 50 countries and 20 languages on Discovery Channel, Discovery GO & Plus, and 15 other networks worldwide. She was the first female host of an outdoor show on Fox Sports, and alongside Live Wildly she’s launching a new bi-weekly series on Daytime WFLA Channel 8 exploring Florida’s Wildlife Corridor, state parks, and the great outdoors statewide.
Her Other Bylines:
An award-winning outdoor writer, her work has appeared in the Tampa Bay Times, Woods n Water, Field & Stream, Florida Sportsman, Coastal Angler, and Sunseekers In-Flight, among others. She’s a Silver Telly Award winner in Travel & Tourism TV — in the same company as Chip and Joanna Gaines and Samantha Brown.
Showing Up for Florida:
Misty serves on the board of Ocean Allies, is an official educator for the International Game Fish Association, and an Outdoor Pro for Bass Pro Shops. Governors, mayors, and state officials have called on her to help shape Florida’s conservation and youth education programs. She’s also been recognized with the FOWA Youth Conservation Award, Amplify Stellar Award, and featured on NBC’s Everyday Hero for her work with foster children.
